From MediaShift: College Newspapers Hit by Downturn

Bryan Murley writes an excellent summation of the current state of college newspaper advertising. Our advertising is way down as well. The Creightonian, a weekly,  is publishing smaller issues than in the past several years and trying to put more content online at We are planning to cut the number of issues in the future as a cost-saving measure.
